VISUAL DESIGNER
I’m Elena Jariego, a visual designer specialized in the animation industry.I began my career at El Exilio S.L., contributing as a matte painter to the CosmoCaixa documentary Postales de otros mundos. From there, I transitioned into feature animation, working as a character designer on Sultana’s Dream, a concept artist on Black Butterflies, a concept artist and matte painter on Norbert, an art director on Mümu, and most recently, as a location designer on Like!.
Driven by a passion for the foundations of filmmaking, my focus has shifted toward story design. This path led me to deepen my matte painting skills under Igor Staritsin, and to be mentored by Mark C. Holmes in Cinematic Design Thinking, as well as Ramón Hurtado in academic drawing, color, and light.
My ultimate goal is to craft meaningful, visually driven stories rooted in profound creative and human intention.

Since then, I've become interested in story design as the foundation with which all movies are built. My ultimate Goal is to develop my knowledge to make informed choices to do better illustrations, better design, and in fact, to make effective stories based on a creative and human intention.
